What to Expect

When you arrive at Harmony Eye Care you will be greeted by our friendly staff and asked to fill in a new patient form to enable us to create a computer record. Our optometrist will then introduce himself and welcome you into the consulting room where a comprehensive eye examination will take place. This will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes and includes all standard tests including glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and pathology. We will also check for any other signs of concern such as melanoma and other systematic diseases using our high-end OCT and ultra-wide field scanners.

Once the examination is complete, the optometrist will explain results as well as available options and the best course of action whether it be a new pair of glasses or a referral to a recommended ophthalmologist.

If you need a new pair of glasses, the optometrist or our optical dispenser will talk you through your options and help you choose the perfect frames and lenses. We will then order your glasses through one of our main laboratories and give you a call or message when they are ready. When it’s convenient, you can come back in for a fitting and take your glasses home.

Our practice will then send you a recall message when you are due for your next eye examination.
